Phew! What a day. Think it was most smooth running edition so far. Can't recall any issues (ducking for cover with the expected flood of messages...). 422 took the line and finished. Can't believe the weather! I was in 'spoons for a birthday tea (along with the bulk of Team Royton) and as they left on their 6 pm coach, the heavens opened; I'm sure the good weather has followed them back to Royton...!
Lessons learnt: More sweets at the finish (you lot have a sweet tooth or two!), another couple of bottles of juice at the finish, don't bother with refreshments in the school and do the prizes at the end, rather than schedule in the hall - you lot want to shop/eat/drink/go home and finally, make sure the ladies showers are warm, haha! Anyway, thanks again for coming. Really enjoyed the day and see you all next year. Phil x |
